Treating scrapper's block
Treating scrapper's block
I watch process videos on youtube or take classes to find inspiration and motivation. This layout is from Wilna's Art Design class. She embossed dots as a resist for the gelatos. I used texture paste and a stencil. She used one her cut files file for the leaves and title. I fussy cut a piece of embossed vellum instead of die cut leaves and some older black letter stickers for the title.

Very nice layout but you didn't cross your fingers hard enough. xo

In addition Pam to this being a knockout LO I see it right side up just fine! Wilna's videos are great. I admire you for going for it and creating this terrific you-version of one of Wilna's lessons.

Looks great, Pam. I don't see any scrapper's block in sight.
Have you signed up for Color Theory that Wilna's teaching through Studio Calico? I can't get enough of her classes; this one focuses on acrylic paint and her signature cut files.

I started to. It's just not in the budget. I hope it'll be offered again.Keitha wrote:Looks great, Pam. I don't see any scrapper's block in sight.

Re: Treating scrapper's block
Great point, Pam, being inspired by someone else but making it your own. It looks fine from here.
Re: Treating scrapper's block
it's the right way for me!
Is that the cutest photo or what?
I always admire how you take something you've seen or learned and fit it to your style and your supplies!

It helps that he often says, "Wait! Take a picture!" and then asks to look at it. His favorite past time is looking at photos of himself. We spent a good deal of time taking silly selfies in the car.nancine wrote:it's the right way for me!

It also helps that I have a ridiculously large selection of supplies to work with!
