Very cool! I really like the one with the Pan Pastels.

Thanks, Cheryl and Pam.
It's lots of fun (and frustrating) drawing your own designs and coloring. More satisfying than store bought coloring books.

I think my favorite in the new group is the first one - I can see exactly where I'd like to go with it so I may steal it. ;)

Go for it! Wish you could see what everyone has done in the class, Pam, but the group on Facebook is private. It's fascinating to see what people come up with given the same prompts. But most everyone agrees that the doodles are the most fun.

Here's another one I finished up this morning as a variation on the doilies. Design idea was on a box of tissues on my table.

This is so pretty! I love the colors you chose. Is it watercolor or markers or something else?

Thanks, Pam. The flowers are watercolor then outlined in white Sharpie paint marker. Then I added colored pencils to shade the petals. There is more contrast in real life.

Gee I nearly missed this. Beautiful. It reminds me of the Japanese temari balls. Love the colors.

Thank you! Definitely easier than making Temari balls, Farley. I tried that years ago and gave up quickly.

I wouldn't even dream of trying to make them.

I haven't posted anything from the class for awhile. It's unbelievable how much time it has consumed either coloring, looking at the others' work, posting, commenting. The group was very active and Paivi posted questions to get discussions going on art in general, etc. Very thought provoking, she is not only an artist but a thinker. It was a great class and I would recommend it if you are ready to get way out of your comfort zone. She's going to run the class again next year.

Week 3 we did drawings based on our own photos and art works we liked. I'll show one example of it.

The last exercise was a drawing and collage of whatever you wanted. Mine was more realistic than most since it was a class on abstract drawing but I wanted Autumn in my book since I won't be here for it.

I can see I'll still be going back and doing more to these drawings.
