Who Knew.Portfolio Oil Pastels & Embossing powder (pic add)

Post by ChristyB »

I'm working on an AJ page this morning and drew a tree with my water soluble oil pastels with the knowledge that I would have to seal them before
adding on top or even closing my book.
I added some acrylic paint and was drying it with my heat gun before adding sealant when I noticed the oil pastel was getting shiny.

Hmmmmm

lightbulb clicked on and I decided to try some clear embossing powder on top.
BOOM!!!!
my tree is sealed AND has a little bit of added texture & shine.

Who knew you could use embossing powder and oil pastels together????

Successful Wednesday if I do say so myself.

What a great discovery. Too late for me though, I gave mine away earlier this year because they never dried.

Totally get this, and it's why I never used them. What led me to pull them out the other day I'll never know.
Now I'll just use them up. Probably they will fall into the category of doesn't need replacing though once gone. ;)

This is way cool Christy! I love all its parts. Great tree and I love the leaf and chicken wire background.
