Oh, Rachelle, I adore this layout and your embellishments. Most of all, I love Chihuly and I'm so envious of you getting to see this exhibit. Was this at the Desert Botanical garden in Phoenix? By the time I got there, all that remains are the spires at the entrance. Love it all.

Yes, the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix. It was quite an exhibition and we were ecstatic to be able to see it.ScrappinJen wrote:Oh, Rachelle, I adore this layout and your embellishments. Wow, beautiful pages and tags. Every chance I get to see Chilhuly I will. So far we've seen his museum in Seattle with Monica and Dave, Denver Botanical Garden and the Bellagio in Vegas.

Oh that is great, what a wonderful job you did on the tags!
Re: Rachelle's July2016 Kill a Kit or Something like that!
Here are a couple of layouts trying to tie 2 semi-related pictures into a double page spread The first is about an old ferry, barge or some such thing that appears on the river every so often. I used that marbled paint technique again to try and create some faux glass floats for the net. The other layout is of the old shack on Siltcoos lake. The owner always posts a sign during the run every year about letting the salmon spawn and live, which we all find amusing since salmon spawn and die. I tried to echo the collection of crab floats in the photo by decorating the title tags with colorful paper strips.

That's a great way to use the netting, and I like the way you wrote the message on the tags.

I combined my summer of creative chemistry tags with a couple of alsb layouts this week. The first one is one of my dad and Roger at the annual invitational golf tournament at the club my dad belonged to. And the second is a picture I came across of me and my best friend from childhood. Unfortunately, she chose to end the friendship when we were 12. As far as I'm concerned she missed out on a great friendship.
Both tags were stencil techniques with embossing powder and distress inks.

Terrific LOs Rachelle. Your tags are wonderful and I think your faux glass floats turned out great. Sorry to hear about your friendship and I agree your friend really missed out on knowing a very cool, talented lady...I've been in your place myself. Your LO is very sweet and a nice memory from when the friendship was fun.

That's a great way to showcase your tags, Rachelle. It's nice to see a little English Robin on your golfing layout. We see them regularly in our garden.

Great use of your tags. As for your friend......her loss!
Re: Rachelle's July2016 Kill a Kit or Something like that!
2 more alsb layouts killed, yeah!
1st one is another golf one of my dad and Roger at the annual tournament they played in. This is a To You With Love alsb, oldie but a goodie. Also used up some masculine stickers and letter stickers from another vintage CS kit Egyptian.
2nd one is an alsb of Fizz. Thought these colors and graphics were good with my Child of the 70s theme. Also made another tag with the embossing through a stencil technique that I've been playing with this week. That's me in the red hat, about 11 or 12 and my parents. And I used up all the die cut flowers from the kit, Yeah!
