Family Christmas Card Prototype/Final Version
Family Christmas Card Prototype/Final Version
I played with my polar bear stamp and die tonight. I have a soft spot for these guys. There's some tweaking to be done but this is the general idea. I think I want the middle bear to have a champagne glass and the others may need Santa hats to liven up this card. Or possibly bow ties.
I also used Stickles around the black paper edge and dots but it isn't showing up here.

What fun! They will look great with Santa hats. .........but shouldn't they be hibernating?

Great card, Farley; I like your idea of adding Santa hats or bow ties.
Kathryn, polar bears don't hibernate the way black and brown bears do in winter - they're active year-round.

I love it! What a fun card.
I suggested a photo shoot to Joel and he was pretty excited about it - even making suggestions. Yes, it's raining today.

I like bow ties as Santa hats could interfere with the trees in the background. Or one hat and the other have a bow tie then they would be ready for Christmas and New Year's Eve!
Super cute!

Thanks everyone! I bought that bear in September during the all day card class I took from Julie Ebersole. She teaches here at The Paper Garden twice a year. Never miss her. At the time there was no mention of a die. But yesterday I went to PG to shop their 25% off day and stumbled on the die...lucky me!
Marianne, I thought the same about the hats. I want the trees to show as much as possible and it shouldn't be too hard to make a bow tie or find a stamped one. But I think a cut out tie would be the best. I played around with a boobooed bear and drew a champagne glass. It wasn't bad but I don't trust myself to draw a good one and not blow it.

I love that card! Before I actually read the post, my thought was to wonder how many hours you'd spend cutting out the bears, but if it's a die, then that's perfect!
I also vote for Santa hats.

Cute!
But,one of the bears needs to be female.
If you have the Tim Holtz crazy things die set,
I think there is a Santa hat and bow tie included

Ok, here's what I think will be the final look. The champagne glasses are filled with Stickles as well as the hat band and edge around the black paper.
