Thank you. It is very colorful. Even more so than in the photo.

It's beautiful!
I would call it City Mosaic
Being fanciful, I can feel the rhythm of the city and
see the skyscrapers thoughout the design

Thanks, Elizabeth. I can see why you would say that and it can be anything we want it to be.

I'm still working on The Splendid Sampler. There are two blocks a week. Some are easy, some are hard, there is quite a bit of embroidery. For most weeks, I'm making blocks for two quilts.
Sorry but I'm not resizing them all small to post on PAO. Here is the link if you are curious.

Marianne! These are both fantastic, but I think I prefer the palette that I'd call Bohemian. I do love the embroidery you're doing on the modern palette squares, though. The "measure twice, cut once" is one of my favorites along with the Robin and bear patch. Can't wait to see the entire project finished.
If you haven't checked out Marianne's link, you're missing some gorgeous work.

Thanks, Pam.
People are using so many great fabrics and combos that we all wish we had chosen differently. Some people are doing 3 or 4 different quilts. It's great to see all their blocks together now that we have done 1/5 of the 100 blocks. We can see how they are all relating to each other. Some overachievers are starting to sash the blocks together or are doing quilt as you go. I can't make those decisions this far ahead.

Re: Fabric Instead of Paper
It's almost a year since I posted anything about the Sampler blocks. I ended up quilting it in sections after every two rows then added the borders last week. The center strip in the border is yards of scraps sewn together throughout the year. I finished the quilt on Sunday and Wendy took this photo yesterday since Ray is still away. Taking it outside was the only way to get the whole thing in the photo. It's 84 x 98".

Marianne, the quilt is gorgeous! I can't image the number of hours you have spent making this quilt. You are so talented. The picture is beautiful but I image it is much more so in person. Well done!
Re: Fabric Instead of Paper

Beautiful work, Marianne!! There's a lady in Salvo who does some amazing quilting... maybe I can find a time for you to meet her and see some of her work while you're here in May.
