Killing page kits - (final one added 5.9.17)
Killing page kits - (final one added 5.9.17)
A couple of pages to finish off an old Basic Grey page kit; time to get these things outta my stash. While I started assembling the pages with no idea what photos I'd put on them I quickly found ones that would work, resulting in two quickly finished pages. You can call the 2nd page my nod to the current circle challenge!

Re: Killing page kits (added another May 6th)
Here's the next kit put to bed, this time BG's Wander. As these pages are for my Route 66 album I've added some white cardstock, flair and gold touches. First up one of the final pages for my album; journaling talks about how we couldn't get to the sign that marks the start of the route in Chicago because the marathon was running. 2nd & 3rd pages: the journaling that talks about this detached piece of Route 66 in CA is in the file folder. Hard to see the photo, but we flushed out a covey of Gambel's Quail with their black feather topknots, which then ran across the road in front of us. They're a western bird with a very limited range, so it was fun to come across them.

What interesting Route 66 layouts, Keitha. I expect that working with your photos has brought back many quirky memories!

Re: Killing page kits - 2 layouts
As I'm sure you know Kathryn, scrapping trip photos is a great way to relive the experience. This week it's been bittersweet as I read about the flooding of the Big Piney River in Missouri which has destroyed the Elbow Inn in Devil's Elbow where the water got as high as the roof. A biker bar really, but one of the quirky places where Rebecca and I stopped in and had a beer as we were driving past.katymjo wrote:What interesting Route 66 layouts, Keitha. I am loving these Route 66 layouts again. Definitely on my Bucket List.

Another page from a BG kit, this time Carte Postale. I'm going to miss these when they're gone - but then they'll be in my albums to enjoy.

OMGosh Keitha, your LOs are all fantastic. Super colors for all your photos and I can see why you love Carte Postale...kind of like my Mon Ami. Great use of circles also.

Re: Killing page kits - (more added 5.7.17)
This final BG kit page (Carte Postale) features a grid design. I've realized that while I find them aesthetically pleasing I don't make many of them, perhaps because I rarely choose to use small photos. But this is as good a place as any for the kids' school photos from a couple years ago. Together with the card I made I've killed this, my 3rd kit this week. I'm ready now to switch gears, but am happy to add these 8 pages to my albums.

That's great! Those wallet sized photos aren't the easiest, are they? This might be the perfect solution. I know I have some "vintage" prints in my pile-o-prints.
