#magicalscrapbook

Post by pamcook »

Made a two-page layout with photos from our visit to the maritime museum in Sharjah. We were all fascinated with the displays and almost forgot to take pictures. I had no idea about pearl trading in that part of the world.
Notice the "pearl" enamel dots? Notice the stamping? Rather proud of myself for those two details. Oh - and the word adventure? Only the D, V, and the U weren't modified from other letters. 8-)

Great layout, Pam! Good job on the stamping and pearl dots, and thanks bunches for sharing that you altered the word 'adventure' - not sure I'd have really noticed. I often do that too, but don't think I've ever altered a 'k' to make an 'r' before. Another one to add to my repertoire!

Very nice Pam. This looks almost low key for you, and you nailed this style as well.

Wow, very impressive layout! Altering those letters for the word is really creative. What letter was the "t"?

Shimelle says you need "less" when you do a two page layout and I think she's right. Especially with so many pictures with so much going on in the pictures. I'm much more comfortable making one page layouts though.

Marianne, the T was cut from an F. This scripty font seems rather easy to adapt.
Another page, this one scraplifted from Shimelle. She used one large picture - 9 x 12 maybe? OH! And a big thanks to Pat for the flowers and leaves!
