My Oldest Grandson

Post by troublesmom »

Bryan is 34 and the dad of our two terrific great grands. They are a very active family and both kids play ball. Bryan is the coach for his sons team and today at ball practice Bryan was at the catchers spot just doing some fielding with the boys. It didn't end well because he got hit in the face and has a broken nose and cheek. He also had to have stitches below his eye and I'm sure by tomorrow a very nasty black eye. He has to go to see a specialist to determine if he will need surgery. Please keep good thoughts and prayers for him.

Oh no! This sounds so painful. I hope there is something that can be done to help him have a quick recovery. This must have been terrible for you to experience too.

Keeping good thoughts for Bryan. :happy94:

Thanks all! I did talk with him this morning and all things considering he isn't doing too bad. He can see but whole eye and area around is black. He does have some trouble eating, can't open mouth wide at all. Not sure when he will get in to see the specialist, just has to call in the morning. He does have several facial fractures just don't know what they can do. I told him to stay away from the ball field but that won't happen. He is the coach, but he did say he would be staying in the dugout. I know Julie (his wife) will try and make him listen.

It healed up just fine. Not even any scars.
