The animals here all think it's Spring until they get in the birdbath and peck at the ice every morning. I wish I'd gotten a heated birdbath years ago...

The daffodils bulbs that I got for my daughter
last year came up right through the snow.
We were a bit surprised that the cold didn't kill
them when they first started to come out
