Marianne's September Draw and Paint
Marianne's September Draw and Paint
I'm signing up for this because I've been wanting to sketch or paint everyday for a month for years. Since we've been at the house exchange, I've been working on a Paivi Eerola class on watercolor painting almost every day so what's one more quick little sketch or paint project! I want to keep them to about 20 minutes.
It's Sept. 2 here so I will post both of these today.
Sept 1-View from the dining table in our apartment. Sept 2-Today is Father's Day in Australia so I made Ray pancakes for breakfast with vanilla ice cream and passionfruit. He then decided to add a splash of Muscat on top.

Re: Marianne's September Draw and Paint
Here are Sep 3, 4, and 5. I'm going to upload in groups of 3 to fit in one message.
Sep 3-We've been enjoying fresh local pineapples from a farmers' market and on the third we drove by some pineapple fields. Sep 4-We also drove by macadamia, avocado and mango orchards. It's still very early Spring but I did see a few macadamia trees with flowers on them. Macadamias are native to this part of Queensland and are locally called Queensland nuts or Bauple nuts after the nearby mountains. Sep 5-Not inspired at all today so just the table and chair. The whole apartment is black and white.

Marianne, these are all wonderful, but that macadamia plant - WOW! You did an amazing job with that one.

wonderful work
Re: Marianne's September Draw and Paint
!!!! They're all great, but that macadamia is wonderful.
Re: Marianne's September Draw and Paint
Thanks, the macadamia one is my favorite, too. I wasn't sure the white pen would work as well as it did but it looks like I wanted it to. That paper was a light olive green CS paper with a lot of bumpy texture. Can't remember the kit name right at the moment but it liked the watercolors.
