Scrapbook Expo

Post by Debbie J »

I’m going to the Stamp and Scrapbook Expo today from 3 to midnight and have my handy little business cards that Debi gave us at Recreate I plan on handing out and my handy little bag Beki made us the the PAO logo and lighthouse on it!

Tomorrow morning I have a card class and Saturday afternoon a card class.

Sunday our Adobe Card Class meets for our monthly meeting so I’m in for a fun weekend, unlike you east coasters. Prayers coming your way.

Sounds like a great weekend Debbie, have fun! We've got a scrapbook expo coming up in October, but I don't think I'll be able to get home for it.

I did the make and take thursday night. It was supposed to last until midnight but I was done by 8 and I probably won’t do it again. I was hoping to learn something new but was basically beginner stuff and a couple were down right kindergarten! I did get a nice varieties of glue dots and tape from the manufacturer for taking the class and it was a 25.00 value. Also vendors were set up outside the make and take floor and had some good deals just for that night.

Friday morning I took a card class from Heartfelt Creation and we made 3 cards in one hour. The cards are beautiful but so many people in the class just could not keep up. If I was just a beginner I would have been lost. It was fast paced. In order to get 3 cards done in 1 hour you had to listen and pay attention and a lot of people were not so they were lost and complaining. For taking the class we got a free stamp set valued at 19.99, but of course what good are stamps without dies? Yes, I bought them!

Saturday I took another Heartfelt Creations class with the same results. The cards were Christmas and also very beautiful. Another free stamp set and yes, I bought the dies.

Other than the classes and the dies I only bought one other thing so I did pretty good. I made an ornament at the Creativity Center that was pretty.

This afternoon my monthly class meets from 1 to 3 so I’m looking forward to that

AND THE BEST PART.......my granddaughter, Caitlin gets here tomorrow evening at 9:30 and we leave the next day for Sedona and then on to the Grand Canyon, I can’t wait!

I’ll try to post pictures of what I made but if I don’t get around to it I will when I get back from GC.

A few photos. The 2 necklaces were both make and takes from Art Assemblage. One from Thursday night the other from their little shop they had set up.

The cards are super sparkly but the photos don’t catch that.

I can see how involved those cards are and how lost some people would be. One hour is crazy! Those necklaces are great too.

Have a great time with Caitlin! Loved Sedona and the area when I visited for a week years ago.
