The Purge Begins!

We have started going room by room and purging stuff that will not be taking the slow boat to Australia.

First item seeing the light of day from the cupboard under the stairs:

Does anyone know anyone, an embroidery group or shop who would like even weave fabrics for counted embroidery like cross stitch, hardanger, pulled thread work, etc? I have a lot of it and would like to sell it all in one big lot. Most of it is linen and is regular woven fabric, it is not Aida cloth.

Thanks a lot, Pam. Roughly it is about 6 yards of different colors but mostly cream or white and thread counts. Pieces vary from about 12 x 10-15" up to a yard square. There is also a bag of smaller pieces. And I have the cream and brown paper canvas for cross stitch. I can send you photos if you like.

I know the feeling, my eyes don't like it either. Years ago I started a map of the Chesapeake Bay with all the lighthouses on it. Wish I had started at the top of the Bay where we live instead of the bottom. At least then, I could have cut it off and framed the relevant part-to us.
