I have Debi D's today! That acorn is really cute! I forget about them as we have no oak trees here.
Alas, we lost all our leaves in the last few days so it is looking very wintery especially after the snow yesterday.

No Oak trees? I am nearly surrounded by giant Oak trees...and their giant dried up leaves. LOL I think when this neighborhood was being developed back in the 70's, they thought more is better and those Oak trees have been going strong since. The mighty Oak!

No Oak trees? I am nearly surrounded by giant Oak trees...and their giant dried up leaves. LOL I think when this neighborhood was being developed back in the 70's, they thought more is better and those Oak trees have been going strong since. The mighty Oak!

No, here in the marginal forest by the Bay we mostly have yellow poplars, black locusts and sassafras with an understory of pawpaws. They are what grows here naturally. Further up the road in the state forest, there are maples and maybe oaks.
