[quote="pamcook"]Please keep us all in your prayers.
Mom continues to slowly improve. She still has trouble staying awake and is a bit delusional at times. Almost like how when you dream about something you saw or read and incorporate it into your life.

I find that most elderly patients become confused and
delusional while in the hospital. When my Dad came to
NY and was hospitalized he kept telling me to go throw the
switch for the railroad track so we could get back home. He
even gave me directions on where to find it.

I hope your conference call went well, I hope your Mom is able
to stay where she is most comfortable
Keeping her and your family in my prayers

We truly appreciate all the prayers and kind words. The meeting went as expected and so, none of us were caught off guard (my former boss kept telling me to lower my expectations!).
I get to be the keeper of the calendar and now I’m waiting for everyone to email their availability. Those who care, have “action items” and I have every reason to believe they’ll follow through. Joel’s going to drive up shortly before she goes home to stay with her for a couple of weeks.
Joel’s sister no longer feels like all the burden is on her. My mission is to get all the grandchildren more involved. We’ll see how that goes!
