Scrapping Retreat this past weekend

Post by nchoney »

So I ventured out and registered to attend one of the scrapping retreats sponsored by Virginia Scrapping Retreats https://www.virginiascrapbookretreats.com/ ... up in Kill Devil Hills. Not far from home, at all. I had hoped to meet some other local scrappers but that didn't work out too well. I did meet some super nice ladies who were at the tables around me and hopefully they'll join our group.

I was overly prepared to work on layouts from the Arizona trip (hopefully I never go on another lengthy vacation again... I won't have room in my house for all the scrapbooks). I had two Iris containers https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DN ... UTF8&psc=1full of pre-planned pages of the AZ photos. The containers are 6 inches deep.... so there were lots of potential layouts in there. I worked through 2/3 of one container.... and made 54 pages. So... terrific progress... and now I have a measurement of what I can get done in 4 days of concentrated scrapping. :-)

I may go again next year, if I have the funds. I know I'll pack less things, for sure!! I didn't use any of the messy things... didn't have room to set things aside to dry... so I'll leave all that at home next time, for sure!

Mike got me a rolling cart for Christmas so it just took a couple trips from the car to wheel everything in... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003E ... UTF8&psc=1

And yes.... I'll have it available at (re)create at the beach this year.... so you can pile things on it and wheel them into the elevator!! ELEVATOR!! LOL And that reminds me ... I forgot to take a photo of the sign that was next to the hotel elevator... one of those "in case of emergency" things... but some of the letters were damaged and it said not to use the FLEVATOP ... loved it... gotta be careful using those flevatops... LOL

That looks like Bonnie or I was there with you! We have no concept of packing light because you never know what you'll need. ;) That's my excuse, anyway.

Looking forward to seeing what you did.
