Magnetic Sheets for dies

Post by mpizzazz »

What sort of thin magnetic sheets do you all buy to put dies on? I've just been looking at all the choices and have no idea what to get. I don't need much. Don't laugh, I have about 12 sets that are falling off their packaging. And I found some I forgot I had because they were all tossed in a plastic bag.

There are 2 in each package. This is at Walmart but Home Depot has them in 3 packs. The ones at Home Depot are wider but you get the idea with this photo.

Those vent covers will work. I buy bigger sheets via Amazon

Yep, I do the same as Debbie. I get the 3 pack at Home Depot. You find them in the water heater dept. But I always have to hunt for them. I think they are rather worthless when it comes to their intended use. But for our thin metal dies they work just fine and they are easy to cut to size. Plus added bonus: the cardboard in the packaging is very useful.

I get mine from Amazon -- Marietta Magnetics- 5" x 7" Plain Magnetic Sheets 30 Mil 25 Pack. They're a bit heavier and stronger than what I've previously used.

I got mine from Amazon, too, but if you only need a few then the vent magnets are the way to go.

I get the ones I use from Lowe's but like the others you can get them pretty much anywhere and cut them to size.

Thanks, everyone! One pack of 3 vent covers might do it for me. We were just in Lowe's yesterday but now it will wait until we get back from Australia.
