Holiday Cards and WOW Embossing Powder
Holiday Cards and WOW Embossing Powder
I did a lot of crawling around Sunday in my craft room so I could purge and clear out a lot of old stuff under my craft desk and reconnect the Gemini Jr with a longer surge protector cord. My electrical outlets are in very inconvenient places. I also cleared off my desk and did a little more organizing. Then I had some fun making these three cards.
Pretty much everything is from Catherine Pooler with the exception of the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Spray in Cracked Pistachio on the green and red card. I am pretty pleased with the WOW embossing powder which I get on the CP site.
Green card background stamp was embossed with WOW regular gold.
Blue card I used the WOW Opaque for the background tree stamp as a resist and then blended 3 CP inks for the background.
Pink card I used a new CP color called Pink Champagne on the background stamp and WOW Wanderlust powder which is very sparkly and somewhat holographic.

Very pretty, Farley. May I ask what brand of metallic cardstock you use?

Thanks everyone!
Keitha, all of the metallic card stock on these cards are from assorted Tim Holtz 8X8 metallic pads. I have the bright colors, the gold and silver as well as copper and bronze. They all have a Kraft back side. Wonderful for die cutting as well as embossing folders. He has a video on all of his metallic pads on YouTube.

Thanks Farley. I tend not to buy TH papers and completely forgot he makes these. They look great in the photos, nice to hear they also work well. I've been die-cutting some Tonic specialty paper this week. It's got a gorgeous colour and finish to it - it's the textured Silver Silk - but it's a PITA to cut. Even with a metal shim I'm needing to run some dies through multiple times.paddlegal wrote:Keitha, all of the metallic card stock on these cards are from assorted Tim Holtz 8X8 metallic pads.
