Antelope Canyon-The Sand Waterfall

Post by Debbie J »

Our guide was excellent in making sure we were getting good photos. He stood back and threw handfuls of sand on this ledge to make this sand waterfall for us to photograph. I worried about him because he was a young guide. He wore a scarf around his mouth and neck area and throughout the 40 minute tour he had a constant dry cough. I am sure this job will cost him his health at some point. He said he will regret it by the time he is 50, if not sooner. I told him de didn’t have to do the sand waterfall but he said his boss makes all the guides do it.

And even though it’s a stunning photo, you’ll always think of him when you see it.

Amazing waterfall and gorgeous photo of it. But I feel sorry for your guide being forced to do this unhealthy activity every day.
