Teddies and Rainbows

Post by katymjo »

Children have put teddies and rainbow pictures in their house windows all over the UK. Thankyou to the kind friend who sent the "hello" die-cut in the swap. It made the perfect window, and you will recognise "that stencil" again!

It’s so pretty! Such a good idea to use the frame as a window.

I like that stencil... and how you rainbow-colored it. Great card!

Kathryn, this is so cheerful! We're seeing rainbows in windows around town here as well. Is this a card, or canvas for your window, or...?

I wish whoever sent us that die cut would send more!

I love the idea of putting something in the windows to cheer the children. There are similar things being done here in the States but our house sits too far off of the road to make it feasible for me to do. We all tend to forget that children pick up on our anxieties and are easily frightened by things that they don't really understand.

Maybe I'll deck out the mailbox at the end of the drive in something cheerful.

Keitha, this is a little canvas, 7x5 inches. I've wanted to play with canvas and paint etc and decided to take Lockdown as a theme. A couple of weeks ago I followed the free Club Scrap instructions for the Explorer's Folio and cut some canvas pieces to fit inside. So far I've made Hope and Teddies, and have a few more ideas to work on.
