PamCook’s challenge
Re: PamCook’s challenge
I’m such a slacker. My background
Paper is still lying here.
Beki’s page is even better IRL.

Re: PamCook’s challenge
I tried and tried but ended up with soggy paper. Then I decided to read the directions. Back to the drawing board because I really like the look of this.
Now if I can only find another straw...

Well, it was a failure so I splattered some ink from the reinkers and looks a little better. Straw courtesy of Firehouse Subs, the best! BBQ brisket with jalapeños, rocks!
I’m trying to figure out how to use it, it’s warped and I ironed it but still not flat, have to try something.

It looks like a puddle with tadpoles.
Use dies or punches? If you want to use it 12 x 12, use lots of adhesive on the back and attach it to another sheet of card stock. Personally? I like the warped look - I’m that weird.

Re: PamCook’s challenge
This technique intrigued me so I had to give it a try. I used Ranger Specialty Stamping Paper and a good squirt of blue acrylic paint with my soap and water. While the bubbles were still on the paper, I dipped a toothpick in the paint and made some random lines and squiggles. Then I cut it on the Silhouette with a wave background cut file.
Here's what it looked like before I cut it. And my card.

Debbie, those are beautiful!
Here's another background. This one is on watercolor paper. Haven't decided what to do with it yet.

Oh Debbie! It’s beautiful!
And Sue - another really pretty background!
I know what I’m going to do with mine. Maybe tomorrow?

Sue - fabulous card! Are all your diecuts from the Silhouette? Geez, I really need to get mine functional.
Debbie - I really like your cards; great save for your background!

Keitha, everything except "hello" was cut on the Silhouette.
I used the first generation Cameo for years, but would get very frustrated with trying to figure out the cut settings. When Microsoft updated, my machine wasn't communicating with my computer any longer so I had to upgrade. I think I now have the Cameo 3 and it is so much better. I rarely have problems and it automatically figures out the cut depth. I use it so much more than I used to.

Better late than never.
Someone in the beach house said my blobs looked like flowers. This morning I heat embossed over them and the placement made me crazy. Decided to push them into the background and now it’s finally done.
That’s my mama (2017). She’s on the road where she was born & raised. You can barely see my grandparents’ home on the hill over her shoulder.
