Blackberries
Blackberries
Just had to share my blackberries. This is my 4th pick from the wild vines that grow in our yard. Yummy!! Going to be tonight’s dessert.

Re: Blackberries
Yummy!
I have a few ripening on my first year vine. I don’t think my harvest will be quite as plentiful, though...maybe next year.

Oh yum! They look delicious.
We have wild black raspberries (I think?) but the birds get them all.

Re: Blackberries
We have volunteer blackberries where my flower bed used to be. The birds generally beat us to the fruit. When we purchased this property 25 years ago it was covered in them as well as persimmon trees. All of the persimmons died, darn it, but the blackberries are still rampant in the forested part. There also were wild scuppernong grapes but they've since died out, too.

Re: Blackberries
Wow we don’t see wild blackberries until later in July here! Bob and I would kayak to an area and pick them from our boats.
