First Edition Paper

Post by Monica »

I braved the crazy and went to Joann's today to see what might be new. They had several paper pads with the brand name First Edition Paper, which appears to fall under Trimcraft from the UK. I picked up two pads for myself: a 6x6 one called Beyond The Shore designed by a BC artist named Kristin Cronin-Barrow, and a 12x12 one called Gardenia by a US artist named Katie Pertiet. Each pad comes with one design on pearlescent paper, the 6x6 also had 2 spot UV designs and 2 glitter effect designs, and the 12x12 2 fabric texture designs and 1 spot UV design, along with the rest. Half of the papers were double-sided, half not, which to me is a great variety, and there are 48 pages in each (3 sheets of 16 designs). I will definitely go back when these go on sale and pick up more, as the designs are a fresh take IMO when compared to what I've been seeing. Check them out!

Oh, one more detail: Kristin Cronin-Barrow also does some great digital kits here:https://www.sweetshoppedesigns.com/swee ... turerid=15. And KAtie Pertiet has some digital kits here: https://www.designerdigitals.com/digita ... ts_new.php.

I also went to Joann's this week. Unfortunately, my store is kind of small and does not have a very big scrapbooking or stamping section. However, it was nice to get out and see some paper in person for a change. I didn't see any First Edition pads (which I love and already have a few), but I did get one 8.5 x 11 pad and two 12x12s. I really did need more paper, you know

I actually got a very good deal. I went on Tuesday and I guess there had been a sale on Sunday - 60% off scrapbooking products. I didn't know about it, except that the 60% off signs were still up. When I checked out, they rang up full price. I told her the sign said 60% off and she quickly went and took them down, but honored the sale price. The clerk was very sweet and I told her I would definitely be back.

Nice looking papers Monica. I’ve yet to venture into any craft, department or grocery store yet. But that hasn’t stopped me from buying crafty things online of course.

I've always loved Katie Pertiet's designs and wish they were available as paper. I have folders upon folders of her files.
