After posting my journal cover I added a few more marks to it, did the back cover, stitched around both and attached them to my journal. Here it is, waiting to be filled. I really need to replace that green vinyl cloth - it looks horrible in photos.

After all the grid sketches last month it's been a nice change to play with circles. This was based on the sketch for the mini paper pad class last week. My papers came from BG Herbs & Honey except the background which is an old Junkitz paper.

Album covers look good, as does the page.

Keitha I love how your album cover has turned out. The colors are just great!
The layout is really pretty! I’ve seen a lot of BG used here and there and I miss it even more. You did a very nice job with the sketch.

Here is my entry. It was far better in my head, but I'm happy enough with it. I think it's the stark white background I don't love. Probably would have been happier with blue.

Anyway, I knew this was my challenge piece from the start. Nicole's Winter Guard show her freshman year was literally called "Going Full Circle". Circles where a design theme of the whole show. I also found a 12x12 die cut of circles, which I cut apart and colored with distress ink to match the colors of their flags and uniforms.

Julie, you get bonus points for using the word circle in your title!

 My thought exactly Keitha! Bonus points for sure.

Julie, have you ever tried splattering mist or ink on a background? The white doesn't look too stark to my eye but sometimes I feel like mine are. I often splatter some mist in areas (like around a title or embellishment cluster (or all) and I like the effect. It's not a look for everyone but for sure you want to practice a bit on scrap paper until you get the feel of it.

I'm so happy you jumped in this challenge - it's a beautiful page!
