Bee themed cards
Bee themed cards
There's a beautiful line of papers from Craft Consortium, artist is Hackney and Co., called Tell The Bees. I loved the original 12x12 collection, which came out in 2017, but never did anything with it. Then they released a darker shaded set of the same patterns within the last month or so, which I had to have.
So, I challenged myself to use and make cards. The papers are gorgeous IRL. Some have a metallic shimmer, some have a clear gloss over elements, there's a linen texture... I love them. So, I made 7 cards this last weekend and will keep going now that I've gotten started! Here are 6 of the 7. One was already given away as a sympathy card to a coworker whose nephew passed away last week.
And I also pulled out chipboard I thought fit the theme, and used 8 pieces on the 7 cards! I'm making a tiny dent, but it's still a dent.
The top 4 are fairly simple. I used gold paint on three of the words, and a brown Archival ink on the honeycomb bit and other word. The stamps are also part of the Tell The Bees line, as are the dots and ribbon. The only thing not from the collection is the card bases I used!
The other two I pulled out a couple flip card dies to play with. The sentiment stamps for those are done by The Stamps Of Life, same as the Sizzix card dies and sized to fit them perfectly. Aside from that, everything was from Tell The Bees.

How beautiful! I don’t recall this collection. I would have been tempted for sure! It seems perfect for cards.

Beautiful cards, Monica! What a great assortment of papers and embellishments. Saw the video, even the reverse sides are just as pretty.
Re: Bee themed cards
Thanks, Marianne. I'm having fun pulling out all the bee themed stuff I have mix in with the collections, and just seeing where the papers take me as I play.

very cute cards
Re: Bee themed cards
What beautiful cards, Monica. "Tell the Bees" looks like a lovely collection. Brian's Dad was a keen beekeeper and it was fascinating to watch him tending the hives and extracting the honey.

Monica your cards are gorgeous and that paper is amazing. I watched the video too. I would want to paper a room with those!
I went to their website and I’m blown away. The Woodland Collection is stunning. Oh no!
Where are you purchasing this if I may ask?

Farley, I purchase where I can find them! lol. The most recent collection I purchased from Simon Says Stamp, but I've picked up a few things from Amazon, A Cherry On Top, and Rubber Buggy, along with my lss Urban Papercrafter. When I'm looking I type it in Google and see what comes up for shopping, because no one seems to consistently carry it in the US.

I would have been beyond tempted when we were still the resident beekeepers! Love this!
After checking out the video, I decided bees in residence or not I neeeeeed it. I just checked Simon Says Stamp - every piece of the collection is out of stock.
