for May 2021 challenge - smells of lilacs

Post by Keitha »

An iNSD challenge on the ScrapGals to scrap a selfie story. The lilacs are just budding here, this photo is from a couple years ago.

I love it! It's just perfect. Did you know of the poem before you made the page?

I miss lilacs. I had a huge lilac bush outside my bedroom window in Ohio. No A/C so the windows were open from spring until fall. That end of my house smelled of lilacs for many weeks every year.

My favorite kind of layout, a "just because" fun layout about something personal.

No Pam, I'll admit that while I knew who Al Purdy was, I didn't know of this poem. Our library has his book that includes it, so when things open again here I'll check it out.
