6 x 6 Class - Week 9 LOs

Post by pbp908 »

My last Halloween at work before retirement. The paper colors are more vibrant than the photo shows - the sun was really bright when I took the photo.

Do I get extra points for mixing my fonts???

Pam and Jill - those are SO GREAT! Pam - I have lots of scraps from that same Halloween collection - that's a great way to use those up!

I actually had two sets of photos that I printed out for week 9, and I have two pages made. But I'm waiting on some embellishments to come from my Scrapbook Generation order before I post. I've also got two versions of week 10 ready for title and embellishments. The embellishments for week 10 are going to be challenging for me. I don't want to cut out 50 gazillion arrows, I don't want hears or flowers because both are boy scout related and I'm not really looking for "cute".

I refuse to use those arrows! I think I'm going to die cut some leaves since my LO is about my containers of herbs. Can you tell I'm out of photos???

If you can find a fleur de lis pattern you could cut those and use them instead since it's Boy Scouts.

Great job, Jill! I like the colored letters.

The only thing about those arrows, is that the scout thing is actually the "Ordeal" for the Order of the Arrow. So arrows almost seem appropriate, but I'm just not cutting that many arrows. I refuse. LOL

Anyway, my package from Scrapbook Generation came today, and in it were my baseball embellishments. I think the other brown layout is still lacking, but I'm happy enough with it if it just stays that way.

They're both great, Julie! I think the paper patterns on the brown LO basically take the place of embellishments, so it's good as-is.

They're both very nice, Julie. I don't miss the added embellishments on the Scout page either.

Thanks! Honestly, I was hoping those baseballs were quite a bit smaller scale and would fit better inside those inchies. I may still take those off because they're not quite right. But the title die cut thing was what I was waiting for in my SG order and I honestly thing that's enough. Like the brown scout layout, the papers are pretty busy on their own. I may obsess and just punch out tiny white circles and draw the red stitching. Tiny baseballs was literally the reason I chose that sketch for those photos. LOL.

Handmade baseballs would work but, You could try off-setting the ones you used just a bit more (rather than centered over just one). That might work and save you a bit of time!

I was going to suggest Pam's idea, too. Maybe one over by the two small photos and the other two just off the edges of the squares.
