First stop
First stop
I thought I posted this earlier?
Scrapping’ in the City, Knoxville, TN
An honest to goodness scrapbook store. I could have spent much more but plan to shop at Scrapbook Generation this week. Have to pace myself. I bought 49 and Market, P13, and Cocoa Vanilla. She had a really good inventory of current collections - and is offering online shopping.
She and Joel chatted like they were BFF’s while I did some speed shopping. It’s a beautiful, beautiful old building turn of the century house. I’m so glad we stopped.

That looks a lovely place to shop!
Re: First stop
FUN! I stopped by Scrapbook Generation on my way home from the roadtrip last week. If I had not had two bored teenagers with me, I could have seriously spent hours in that store. It's not huge like the Archivers stores were, but it was just a whole different experience getting to look at stuff in person. Online is great, but sometimes the colors aren't quite right, and you can't get a sense of thickness or quality of materials always. And this past weekend was "free kit" weekend, and of course I had no trouble spending enough to get the free kit.
Yay for there still being brick and mortar scrapbook stores!

Re: First stop
If I'm ever in the area Scrapbook Generation is on my list, but hands down the store I want to visit is Scrappin' in the City. She's been on The ScrapGals podcast a few times so I've heard all about the store and how she runs her business; Pam, did you know last year they had a pipe burst upstairs and flooded the place completely out? She had to close for months, and virtually renovated the entire building at that time. It was heartbreaking to hear, and not just because of all that ruined product. I'm so glad the store's back better than ever; hmmm, that's just a 12-hour drive from here, certainly doable for a 4-day road trip, LOL.
Re: First stop
We did hear about the flood. I can’t even imagine. Whoever did the repairs did a great job. Joel took quite a few photos while I shopped. I’ll eventually get some of them from him.
Haven’t made it to SG yet. Maybe today?
