being irreverent

Post by Keitha »

Wanted to acknowledge a few Christmas cards I received this year from people I'm not otherwise in touch with. With these cards I've used some tools I hadn't before (die, embossing folders), and used up some really old product - both make me very happy. One is a birthday card I need for today, and a couple I've left completely blank until I decide who they're going to.
Even assembly-line style, making cards always takes me way longer than I think it will. Between watercolouring my cardstock, die-cutting everything and assembly, this represents the better part of 3 days, LOL.

Thanks for the laughs! I couldn't find the 'irreverent' part until I read the fine print. Your watercolouring is beautiful.

Where is the die from? Did you type the word phrases or are they stickers?

Keitha fabulous water coloring of your flower dies and hilarious sentiments. I know I’ve seen this die set somewhere but can’t remember what company. You really made the most of them.

Love your cards, Keitha, and those snarky sentiments!!!

For those asking, those are Tim Holtz dies from a set called Brushstroke Flowers, and I think the sentiments are from his snarky chitchat stickers.

Thanks ladies. As Monica said, the flowers are from Tim Holtz's brushstroke flowers series, and the phrases are his snarky chitchat stickers. The watercolour is all distress inks, and the embossing folders are a mix of old Sizzix, one Vicki Boutin and a couple of newer Altenew 3D ones.

These are gorgeous! I really love the use of the embossing folders. I have several of those, and have likely never used them. It doesn't matter where I store embossing folders, I always seem to forget that I have them.
