Coronation Tree-planting

Post by katymjo »

All over the UK people are planting trees to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee (70 years). I am sending this photo and information to the Headteacher of my old Junior school, where I was one of three children selected to plant a tree to celebrate the Coronation. I just kept the pages simple, with red borders and made some digital bunting.
Kathryn.

I love this. What a wonderful memory and congratulations on being chosen to do the planting.
(I just started reading QUEEN OF OUR TIMES by Robert Hardman).

That's an amazing memory! I'm sure your school will love having that to showcase.

That was a nice idea to send the tree planting for the Coronation pages to the school. Have you ever been back to visit "your tree"?

I'm the girl with the spade.
I haven't ever been back to the school. It would be a really big tree by now. I did look on Google, and there is certainly a tree in the right area. I'm hoping the headteacher will write back and let me know.
