Thank you all for your kind comments and for coming along as I made this quilt. It's all sandwiched and ready to quilt. Don't know if I'll get to that this week end or not.

Awesome Rachelle! This is going on my list of how to spend new years day when the kids are old enough to occupy themselves all day. :-) I have a sewing machine, but I've not really been a fabric collector. Your work is always fantastic though, and makes me want to get out my machine and head up to the fabric store and peruse. :enabler:

The time for most quilts is all in the cutting and the mystery quilt always gives us the fabric and cutting requirements about a month ahead of time. That way when it comes time for mystery quilt day, all you have to do is sew. I would recommend this particular pattern for anyone who is a beginner. All of the pieces except for 4 triangles around the middle were square or rectangular and it went together very quickly. This is the first one where I actually finished before the last hour was up. I usually finish them the same day, but it takes me a couple of hours past the last installment.
