Altered Album
Altered Album
Here are a few pics of a K and Company album that I altered. The vinyl covers were one of their popular prints of script and flowers, pansies, I think. It's a 6 x 6" and had lots of page protectors, perfect for all our PAO swap pages from last year. I painted all the edges and then added the handmade papers and one of my atcs that I made for the swap.

Re: Altered Album
What type of glue did you use? Did you sand and prime the vinyl before you painted? I have some really ugly vinyl albums that I'd like to alter.
Re: Altered Album
I didn't sand the vinyl or whatever that stuff is but that is a good idea. I did cover it with gesso. I think I used the CS bookbinding glue, some of those handmade papers were thick. Along the edges I did acrylic paint, the dreaded dabbers! I wouldn't be surprised if that came off fairly easily but I'll worry about that later.pbp908 wrote:What type of glue did you use? What a great idea, Marianne. I bet we all have some albums we'd like to recover.
