Nice to see your layouts, Kathryn and Gwen! I like the dry embossed designs, Kathryn, and the scissors on the tops of the photos, Gwen. Hope to see several more layouts for the challenge before the end of the month.

I can't believe it has taken me this long to have the time to visit the PAO. We haven't had much access to Internet except at a library and then in Sydney, I was too busy. We've taken lots of photos and I have done some digital scrapping.

Here is my challenge for May. Glad you encouraged me to use the vellum, cuz I had a hard time dry embossing. Not sure if I got it right, but it will work   The decorative scissors were used on the title bar, and I highlighted it with a gold edging. The embossing was done under the words of the title, and it is really hard to see. I also embossed the vellum used as a background, and that is hard to see too. I tried inking the back, but did not like that. Hope you can see it   This is a picture of my Grandma, back in the 30's. She was climbing a tree   Such a lady :tomato:

Kathryn, that's beautiful. I love the embossed hearts.

Gwen, that's a fun LO. Using the pom-pom edging is really creative.

Paula, using the tree stamp? stencil? with that photo is a super idea. Great LO.

Thanks Gwen! I thought I had plenty of old photos, but I now wish that I had more! At least I can share what I have with generations to come!

Paula, that is gorgeous! I love the flowers and the gold edging on the decorative edge-it's a beautiful layout.

Now that I think about it, I have seen lots of photos from that time period with people arranged on trees. It must have been one of the styles of the time. I will have to look at the ones I have at home but I think I have several of various family members.

Thanks for joining in the challenge. Great job!

I'm going to double-dog-dare us to swamp this challenge with entries!
Let's surprise Marianne - We have 10 more days to complete and post a layout.
CherylH and I are going to Archivers Friday night - this challenge is on my list of projects to complete.
The entries post are so beautiful! I have so many shades of vellum tucked away in my stash, too...

I used some green vellum to make leaves for the flower on the left side and embossed it with an embossing tool. I used decorative scissors to cut them out. Nothing fancy at all but it give them some dimension.
DGD last August on her second birthday. She couldn't figure out what all the fuss was about and in typical 2 year old fashion, didn't want to cooperate - until she got to cut the birthday cake.
Lots going on in this layout but I think I like it.

Nice job, Pam! The photos are really cute and I love the title!

Now that we are back home, I will have to figure out what date and day of the week it is. I think there are 5 days left in May to get your entries in for this challenge.
