Everyone is doing a great job with these.

I seriously doubt that I'll purchase the reflections stamps, so not sure if I'm going to do the 3rd tag or not. I can't say that these are my favorite tags in the world, but as Donna says - it is what it is.

I didn't have colored solvent pads - only black solvent ink. I used Adirondack pigment pads and then heat set before adding the Distress Ink. If I had realized that the Frayed Burlap would make the glossy paper look like kraft, I would have chosen a different ink!

Nice tags, Pam! They look good. You can do the embossing folder technique with any stamp if it can be reversed just not regular text stamps.

Yes, like Marianne said, use any background stamp (that isn't directional) and you'll get the same stamped effect.

OK, I did it and I don't like it. Maybe when I have more embossing folders I'll find a need for this, but not crazy about it. It could be the choice of stamp, the colors that I used - whatever. At least I've tried it.

I learned one thing - don't put Dusty Concord over Eggplant! Totally blended out some of the snowflakes.

It looks subtle!! in a nice way! Don't give up on it.

Are CS Hybrid inks comparable to the Archival Inks? CS states these are both dye and pigment based.... Or I'm thinking I need to order Archival Inks...

Teresa, All I can say is go for it. I wasn't sure about using the pigment inks, but the back of the ink pad said can be heat set on gloss paper, so I tried it and it worked. Try inking a small piece of glossy paper with it, heat set and then try putting the distress ink on top of it and wiping it off to see if it resists. I was very glad to find that this worked for me as I didn't want to order any more ink right now.

And going for it is really what this is about, isn't it? We're learning what our stash will and won't do so it'll be more useful to us. I admit to ordering some supplies for the classes that couldn't be substituted, like reinkers and Distress Stains, but WTH? I'd been wanting to make my own mist and this was the perfect time to do it. But the science part of it is invaluable and I'm hoping that now I'll use what I have more often.

The colors are way too dark and my ink did not come off with the blending solution
so it has to be the paper.
My archival ink is barely showing up. It's fairly new.

I tried again and used 4 colors of ink (no orange)
It id work and I used a different brand of archival ink
worked great but still looks like fall
