I don't know if this really fits here but this was last summer up in the DC area. My first real trip to Arlington National Cemetery and I saw the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

This is a project from last year's CS Retreat. I finally got around to it this week and it was quite fun to get painty, inky and gluey for a few days. I will be adding more to the pages as I see fit, but I think the background stage is done. This was a very fun project and I really like the concept. It has an accordion style journal that tucks into pockets on the inside cover pages.

It's art media week over at CS Camp and I find this quite challenging in digi. This is my youngest in 1996 with a snow dragon fort we built on the driveway that year. My goal was to make the Aurora Borealis icicle stamp look like real icicles.

I made a little digi to commemorate my new bling and hubby's big gift too. He hardly ever wants anything, but this year he wanted a new fishing kayak so he can really have fun with one of those big king salmon pulling him around.

Our Pepper is obsessed with the chip monks and squirrels. They sit outside the windows and taunt her unmercifully. I finally had the camera close at hand this morning during one of their teasing sessions. It's hard to see the little brute, but he's on the middle of the pine needle pile just above her left ear.

This AJ page was inspired by a background page I did earlier this summer on book paper with paint swirls. Sorry I didn't remember to take a picture before I got started. Today when I looked at the background it reminded me of water. Using a picture I took of my daughter earlier this summer at the beach as my inspiration I created this page. I was sitting behind her on the beach and thought this would be a cool angle for a photo. I did change her hat to something from my imagination. It was done with more book paper pieces and painted with heavy body acrylics. I love my little seagull. He has such dimension I feel like he's going to fly off the page.

I think I may have wrapped up for summercamp over at CS. Did manage a few more digis. These are all to finish out July's weekly chronicles as well.

And the last two. From our travels this summer. The panorama in the bottom layout is 4 pictures stitched together. I rarely get them to knit this well, must have been standing correctly.

I finished a couple more CS projects. Gotta say adding the project cabin to psl was brilliant. I'm hoping to eventually get all these projects done over the next few psl's. The challenge this week was to add a little mini artwork to the project. I added a little white on blue zentangle to the boat one and a little artsy tag to the steno book.

These are both journals of a sort. The stringart one may get used for boating related art and pics. May stick the steno book in my bag for collecting travel memorabilia. They were both fun to do and so glad to get them out into the light.
