November 2013 Card Sketch Challenge
Re: November 2013 Card Sketch Challenge
Paula, Jill, Diana, you have all been busy. Paula, love your colors and patterns. Great improvisation. Jill, great fall colors. Diana, love that die. May have to own it. Love all the white space you left on your front. Gives me room to breathe. Will try that on my next one.
Re: November 2013 Card Sketch Challenge
The bottom photo is actually the card - once you open it up.....it's like a tri-fold and the poinsetta is the back of the greeting. (and it didn't scan well)
Thanks for the compliments.

Just another bump here. Time is running out. And time for me to start thinking about another sketch. Anyone have any preferences??? Circles, stripes, chevrons, owls, trees????? What do you think?
Re: November 2013 Card Sketch Challenge
I got it done! This uses scraps from the scrap bin, alpha stickers from Webster's Pages, and I think the little flower was from the Painted Desert CS kit. LOVE This die set!!

Nice card!! I'm going to have to get that die!
Re: November 2013 Card Sketch Challenge
It's a lot of fun to use. There are actually several dies in the package and everything fits perfectly together on the card, I could have embellished it a bit more, but I'm happy with this result.Paula wrote:Nice card!! I'm going to have to get that die!

Nice! Does it make the little holes in the circles, too? I like that detail.
Re: November 2013 Card Sketch Challenge
Yes, it does. There are several circle dies in the package... some scalloped, some with pierced holes and some just cut circles. If you go HERE you can see what comes in the package.mpizzazz wrote:Nice! Does it make the little holes in the circles, too? I like that detail.

I'm getting in at the last minute, really wanted to try doing something similar by just cutting with a knife.

Monica, Marianne, and Debi: Sorry I've been asleep at the switch. All three of these cards are fantastic.
Monica, Those dies are truly addictive. I have the three circles and one circle. I'm about to buy the bracket one. Such bang for the buck. You can make a fabulous card with just paper and the recipient thinks you are an engineering genius.
Marianne, love the colors you used and your inventiveness in cutting it yourself. And Debi, you were also inventive, using one of those gatefold cards and some scallop shapes. These cards will all bring a smile to someone's day. Thanks for playing.
I am ashamed to admit that I don't yet have anything put together for a December card or sketch. I will try to get it up in the next couple of days but I have a feeling most of us have plenty on our plate this month. Perhaps we should just let it ride until January??? Let me know what you think. If any of you are aching to add something else to your to do list, I do know which sketch I want to use. I guess I should calm down about having a sample and just throw the sketch up there. You're big girls, you can figure it out on your own. Right?

Well, Cheryl, it's not like you haven't already made skatety-eight Christmas cards....
How many did you make, by the way?
