January 2014 Card Sketch Challenge

Alright - don't anybody pass out or anything.. but I'm gonna play!

These OWH sketches are just wonderful. And they're perfect for using up bits of scrap. These cards all used leftovers from Scrapbook Generation kits. I love the kits, but they're not at all efficient when using up paper. I often suspect I could get another complete layout with the leftovers. Or, in this case, cards. Two of them are exact from the sketch, but the other was elongated in order to use the die cut without taking up the entire card face.

Way to Go Julie! And they are wonderful. Using up scraps for useful cards is such a great feeling.

It was definitely nice to do something productive with those scraps. I should make a bunch more and send them to OWH, since I don't usually send them out.

I just wish I could have gotten a 2-fer, and used an un-inked stamp for the cyber-crop challenge. But I don't have many sentiments that would have fit in that little 2" circle. That Happy Birthday stamp is the best stamp in my collection - I think it's seen every color. It's probably seen more action than all of my other stamps combined.

Oh, very pretty! Those lace challenged people on the other topic need to see this. Real lace could be used as well as paper. I like the circle papers and the embossed leaves.
