PAO-made kit swap (see pg 2 for swap list)
PAO-made kit swap (see pg 2 for swap list)
Who would like to join me in a swap?
You make a scrapbook kit from your existing stash and send it to another person in the swap. I'll close sign-ups on 5/24 and post a "mail-to" list on 5/26. You will have until 6/14 to ship your package.
Kit contents must include -
3 sheets cardstock
letter set (can be stickers or die cut)
MINIMUM of 3 sets of embellishments (die cuts, rub-ons, stickers, washi tape, stamp(s), tags...)
8 sheets of patterned paper
Rules -
No flaking - no excuses
All product must be rather current (nothing older than 2 years)
No trash - I'm not asking you to go buy new products. The point is to shop from your existing stash but no sending stuff that should be in the trash.
All items must coordinate. The recipient should be able to create several layouts from what they receive.
You MAY attach a maximum of THREE "no-thank yous" to your sign up post. For instance, I really don't like neon colors for my pages, so I might say, "No thank you to neon colored products." of "I have everything Tim ever produced so, no thank you to TH products". Does that make sense?
You MAY communicate with whoever (whomever?) will receive your kit to get clues as to what their style or preferences might be.
Let me know if you have questions!

Me!
No thank you to neon colored products. Other than that, I'm easy.

I think I'm in. I certainly have enough stash to shop from. When is this due?

Re: PAO-made kit swap
I have no paper that's newer than 2 years old right now except for what I just ordered. Unless, of course, you count what's left in the Webster's box I bought 2 years ago.
Re: PAO-made kit swap
It would be fun to do but I only have one pad of paper bought recently and that was at Tuesday Morning so who knows how old it really is but I like it. So I would have to go shopping to participate in the swap. And while that would be fun, I only have the big box stores and they are 30 miles away. I've been there twice in the last month so that's enough of that. Maybe another time, Pam.
Re: PAO-made kit swap
I wouldn't want to give anyone any truly old junk, but I do have some papers that are older than 2 years, but were never my style - like G45 or 7 Gypsies. Depending on whose name I got in the swap, I had thought to throw some of that stuff in. But I'd certainly add some newer stuff too. One of my biggest challenges is that I know that much of what I have in my stash is the same as what others have (Pink Paislee and Websters warehouse boxes, for example - and I can't send Pam P any of my Scrapbook Generation stuff, because she has that too).
Anyway, I was going to go deep in the stash to get a few items that I'd be sure weren't duplicates, but I'd probably need to shop for a few items to qualify for the "newer" requirement. I'm hoping that's OK.

Re: PAO-made kit swap
Yes Julie - it's absolutely okay. I chose two years out of the blue because I don't want participants to worry that they'll get outdated stuff they won't be able to use, either. Some products are just timeless and I would think of G45 as being in that category.

No thank you to little kids or baby stuff.
No thank you to neon stuff, either...
No thank you to Club Scrap stuff... I've got all that
(ps... I don't mind things over 2 years old ... LOL)
