Camp early birds challenge

Post by pamcook »

I arrived to camp early. Getting my bunk set up tonight. If you're like me and can't wait to get started, here's a quick challenge for you. You only have ONE week though. Submit your project by midnight Pacific time to be entered into the drawing.

Use the colors teal, lime green, yellow, hot pink and black to create a scrapbook layout, art journal page, tag, or what-have-you. It doesn't even have to be made from paper (gasp!). Bonus points if your project has some sort of journaling on it.

:happywave: Can't wait for camp to start!

I used the sketch for the May/June challenge for this one so it's a twofer!! Starting my album of over 1000 photos!! I have a feeling I will be downsizing ALOT!. I don't know who those gentlemen in the photo are, but the one guy was being interviewed on the Capitol steps area so I figured he must be "somebody!!" :P Does anyone recognize him? Those character guys were a hoot.

Wow! Way to jump on the challenges Deb!

I'm ordering prints tonight, and hope to remember to pick them up tomorrow. Nicole has volleyball practice tonight, but I'm hopping to squeeze in a layout or two later tonight, so that I can be an early bird too!

I can't see the photo very well, but I think it may be Ben Carson.

Pam, here is the original photo. I thought the younger guy was the one being interviewed. You can get a better look here.

Yay! I'm not the only one jumping in early!

Love those layouts Debbie & Cheryl! The colors are so pretty.
Here's mine. I had to wait until this morning to get a photo of it. You'll remember this photo. I used Shimelle's page design from this week's Glitter Girl Adventure. Found this We Are Memory Keepers collection while searching for something else. So embarrassing how much stuff I've bought over this past few months!

Love all of these LOs. I was having trouble imagining those colors together but it works.

That's not who I thought in the photo. Maybe I'll figure it out later or someone else will recognize him.

Thought I had already commented on Debs but see that I didn't. Love how you got so many photos there. I love visiting the monuments in DC. Terrific job.

Pam what a terrific page. You have blended things so well. What a cutie!

Thanks!
I lifted that color combination from the cover of an All You magazine this month. I went with the subdued color version (the guilt of forgetting about that kit got me). Plan to do the summery bright version later today.

Here's a brighter version.

OK, I took some liberties with the colors just a tad - I'm not sure how lime-y my lime green is, but I think it's all there. The inspiration was the desperate need to bust through a collection of Pink Paislee "Vintage Vogue" that they sent in a warehouse box a while back. I figured since the kids' spring school pics were so lacking in color, they were exactly what I needed to use for this challenge. :-)

Very nice Julie! The colors are great for those photos.
I think the green is the exact color of lime peel so it qualifies ;)
