This one turned out ok. I think I would get the hang of stamping and spacing it out with practice.

Judy, you are being too hard on yourself. I like both of those cards very much. The stamping on the tree makes it unusual, did you stamp the background paper, too, or is that printed? The other card is just gorgeous! I haven't tried that one yet. That is a nice flower set. What is it?

It's very pretty. What don't you like about it?Trixie wrote:I am not thrilled with this card.
I love the colors on the floral card! Is the border glitter tape/ribbon? It's not easy to get a good shot of glitter anything.

I like the Christmas tree card, too! Not sure what you don't like... but we ARE our own worst critics.

I love all the cards
Re: Stretch Your Stamps 2
Here are some more of mine.
I'm still on the metal tag kick. Also found a set of GTG that I never finished so that's why the tall thin card bases. These two sets are from the first day. I didn't finish any cards then. And this is embossed flowers from Day 10. The green flowers are actually mustard seed Distress embossing powder. Everything else is not as bright as it appears here so it really does look better in real life.

Thanks for the compliments. I don't know why the card doesn't appeal to me, but it might be because my stamping of the words (which was the technique for this card) is too darks. I have all the stuff done for two cupcake cards and a heart card card, but stopped because I just thought the card looked amateurish.
As for the second card, the stamp set is,from Waffle Flower and called Loved. The flowers and leaves were smaller than the set they recommended for class. The gold on the sides I love. That is embossing powder masked off with tape. Make sure you emboss before pulling off the tape or the act of pulling makes the powder fly everywhere. I did it in three steps. It is very striking in real life.
I love all your cards. They are really amazing. I am glad I took the class and will definitely take another. I think I might be going through a little withdrawal now that I don't have a new lesson to watch every day.
P.s. Oops! Forgot one question. The stars in the background are from a stencil. Falling Stars stencil from Simon Says Stamp.

Thanks for answering my questions, Judy. I'l be looking for that stamp set. The stenciled stars are really nice in the background.
Just keep carrying on with the other cards and see where they go. That's how we tweak it all and learn what we like and what works. One thing I noticed on that text stamping lesson was that they added some tiny stamped motifs among the words. That really helped my stamped cards by adding a different color. Maybe you would like that among your stamped texts when you try it again.

Re: Stretch Your Stamps 2
Well, did anyone have a hard time getting a clear stamp with the graphic stamps? Mine were very blotchy. The best ink were some free pads that came with some Anna Griffin stamps. Go figure. You can spend $100 on different kinds of ink and the free stuff worked best. I went through 2 complete discards before I got it to look half way right.
