How about a swap? (updating as received)
We haven't done a swap in ages.
Send me 6 tags stamped with your favorite stamp using a black permanent ink AND 6 card fronts (4 x 5.25) white or ivory cardstock also stamped with your favorite stamp using a permanent ink. Be sure to include a SASE and you'll receive 6 different tags and 6 different card fronts.
Be sure to sign the backs of each. I need them in my hands by 10/1.

Re: How about a swap?!?
You aren't making a card to swap - only a panel that will fit on a card. Your card piece will be 4 x 5.25. Stamp an image on it. That's all. When you receive your various card fronts, you can use them to make your own cards with your own sentiments, embellishments - whatever you're inspired to do with them. They should fit nicely on a standard 4.25 x 5.5 card.Laurie wrote:I'm in but I need more instructions......

Both the tag and the card fronts are jumping off points. When we did a tag swap in the past, I've used them with just the single image and I've used the stamped image as the first background layer making decorative gift tags.
Is that clearer?
I'll post a couple of samples tonight.

Re: How about a swap?!?
Pam - are there any color restrictions on the ink? I would be most likely to use black, but I've found some images just strike me as looking better when stamped in brown. I'm not looking at any crazy kind of color - just wondering if brown is a possibility.
Also, no restriction on tag size, yes? The last tag swap I participated in came back with tags of all different sizes, and it was great!
Laurie - if you need an example for a tag swap, look back at the layout I posted on Tuesday night of Jake's lost tooth. There is a manila tag on there. That tag came from a tag swap, and what I got was just the tag with the stamped image. I added the ribbon at the top, the coloring in of the stamp, and the letter stickers. But the tag with the stamped image was from the swap. I think I got tags as small as 2" tall, up to 5 or 6" tall. Some had an open image, some had a word or phrase, and some had a background pattern.
Thanks Pam! This is exactly the kind of swap I needed right now - low pressure, easy, and will fit in a standard envelope (no special trip to the PO, since I have a way to weigh it at home).

Re: How about a swap?!?
Please feel free to use peer pressure to get everyone involved in this one. It's easy and fun.
No ink color restrictions. I started to say black...then I changed it to black & brown and then I wondered why I needed to specify and ink color. ANY color - as long as it's a permanent ink.
