Oh, wow, Sue, that is so nice, there is so much texture and detail! If you cut out the tree and owl, were they printed or did you ink or paint the tree and owl?

The owl in the tree was a print and cut file for the Silhouette. I just used some watercolor crayons to add a little color and some Glossy Accents on his eyes (you can't see it in the photo). Then I decided it needed a few leaves so I found some fall-y looking paper, cut the leaves, inked them, spritzed them with water and scrunched them up.

Debbie, you will LOVE the Silhouette. I had (well, I still have it, but it is back in the box) a Cricut that I hated and never used so I was not sure I would use the Silhouette. But...... I love it and if I can figure it out, anyone can. I've only done basic things with mine so far. It can do a whole lot of stuff that I have yet to try. I haven't even downloaded the upgraded software that came out months ago because I'm so comfortable with things the way they are. Have fun with your new toy. I can't wait to see what you make.

I just got a Silhouette Cameo last week too, and was happy at how easy it was to get going with the basics - once I got over the intimidation factor. Wilna Furstenberg uses it a lot, so I'm hoping the class I'm currently taking with her will motivate me to stretch even further with it.
