Faux Dichroic Party

Post by azemigh »

I had a party with my melting pot today and boy was it fun!!!! I can't remember who gave us the link to the Fiskar's TV with the faux dichroic glass tutorial, but I want to thank you so much. I love how these turned out. I did have one of my CDs go all wonky on me though and wouldn't stick to the base so I just peeled my picture off and put it on the base without the CD. Kind of gave it a translucent appearance. I made some red ones and some green ones. I used all the foil I had and I can't remember where I got the foil so don't know if I'll be able to do more of these. Now I just need to put some pin backs or necklace bails (sp?) on and they're good to go.

Thanks Everyone! It was alot of fun and pretty easy once I got going. I did one to see how the process worked and then I did an assembly line with each step so it would go faster. You just have to remember to do all of your dipping in the clear UTEE before you color it with the dye.
