Off topic here but I did want to bump the thread. Received my October Story Stamp yesterday and have some ideas percolating in my brain. Love Ali!

My latest challenge to myself is to use up my old Club Scrap kits. I pulled out all of the past October kits and went to work. The first one I attacked was Natural Resources from 2009. High time to finish that off.

I added base pages from Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm and then started looking for yellow things. Pulled out stuff from Common Threads and Down to Earth as well as other items from stash. Added a lot of Wild Honey Distress Ink and voila, a primarily yellow page. Totally out of my usual zone. Attempted a Pam Cook challenge to make some clusters. What you see is what you get. And I used the October Story Stamp from Ali Edwards to write my story. Another one done for the books!

Very nice! I applaud your use of embellishment clusters AND the story stamp!

Thank you, Pam. I'm learning to do them with baby steps. But I really like your idea of having some pre-made. Then I might actually make something more inspired. And THEN use them. While making a layout, I often get to a point where I just want it DONE. A cluster seems like too much work.

I got one done! started it this weekend, but didn't get the Cricut fired up until today to cut the cherries and title. On the right page it's too bright to see the silver tag at the top of the journaling which reads "fun for everyone". I followed the sketch almost to a T. I'm so creative.
The title has red stitching (in pen) on the white letters and then white and red on the U. Not a great photo.

This was a fun day up at the U-Pick farms in Green Bluff (Spokane). we took my niece and Amelia, the 10 year old she nannied all summer. She was a hoot! The guy who ran the farm told us to eat all we wanted as the trees were too heavy with cherries. So we did! We had our fill of Rainer's and "pie cherries". On the drive home Amelia asked if there was sugar in cherries, she was talking non-stop! Then she said "I think I ate a whole tree".

That's really cute with the cherry diecuts and the stitching. Looks yummy, we never get enough cherries!

Oh, gosh, I love this. And the cherries are adorable. Almost as adorable as the story about Amelia. I think your title is FABULOUS and I can see all of the stitching. Thanks so much for joining us.

So, Nancy, if I put a new sketch up every week, could I turn you into a scrapper?
