HAPPY 2015 JANUARY CARD SKETCH!

Happy New Year Friends!

Let's start 2015 with a pile of cards that we can use all year round. This sketch is filled with possibilities for any kind of card...thank you, birthday, anniversary, feel better...you decide.

What I wanted to play with this month are angles. I tend to make my cards with symmetry and rarely skew any right angles. So this month I am stretching those angles to go in different directions and opposing each other. I think it gives a card movement. Hence my focal point on my first card is of a motor scooter! I had fun using different dies for the panels, sequins for some glitz and a big favorite of mine, paper piecing. Oh and lots of pattern paper.

Remember, this is JUST a guideline. Make it YOUR OWN card. Play with different opposing shapes and let's see what you can come up with.

Really good sketch and cute card Farley. I hope to soon be able to clear a space to do some crafting in my room. Right now I'm trying to find my scoring tool. I know it is here under one of these piles!

That's an ADORABLE card! I spent some time yesterday playing with some of my new sizzix card dies. I suspect that will account for most of my card creations this year.

OCAMs have been assigned so this is a perfect opportunity to use January's sketch and get your OCAM made and sent out! Yeeeehaaaaw!

And while you're at it, make a few extras to have on hand.

This is my card for the January challenge. Changed it up a bit and the paper is sparkly, but you can't really see that in the photo.

This turned out great Nancy! Very manly colors too. Very cool dry embossing one of the panels. I must remember to try that also on my next sketch card. Thanks for playing and sharing.

I should have made this card a few weeks ago and someone here may see it before she gets it. But I wanted to make a thank you card and get it into the mail fast so I turned to the sketch and came up with this version.
