Julie Ebersole class

Post by paddlegal »

Yesterday I attended one of the best card classes ever at Paper Garden here in Sacramento. Julie Ebersole is just plain adorable, funny, enthusiastic and very creative. I took both the morning and afternoon sessions which were to be each two hours long. I don't think I've ever crafted non-stop from 10 am to 5 pm. We just kept working and had lunch brought into us. I took 15 minutes to gobble lunch down, grab an afternoon latte and then back to work. The morning class consisted of 7 cards and the afternoon, focusing on glitter, making 6 cards. I was wipped by the end of the day but love every minute of it.

I'm just posting 5 of my favorites out of the 13 I made.

Thanks for looking.

Those are beautiful, Farley! I especially like the ones that look white embossed with watercolors. The colors are so vibrant.

Beautiful cards Farley. I'm kinda jealous that you had the chance to take a class with Julie...she seems a real hoot! I love watching her videos! Anyway, from what we see of your cards...we can surely use some of those same ideas in cards of our own. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks all. I would agree that the 2 watercolor cards are my top favorites also.

The blue and purple card was done with a new product to me. Kuratake Brush Markers. They are just like the water brushes you fill with water only each marker has color already in it. Loved using them. The other watercolor card was painted with Japanese pan paints. She used so many wonderful products from so many different companies. I liked that. There was no proprietary product being pushed. Though the store that hosted the classes had pretty much all the products available. I stayed away from the store. Boy was I good!

Thanks Cheryl. If you'd like to see them all, I've posted them on my blog. I didn't give any explanations so just ask me if you want to know about any of them.
