I'm Baked Out!

Post by azemigh »

I've been baking for 2 days now and I've given up on finding my cookie cutters so I will have to go buy new ones. My dough's ready though. Here are a couple of pics of my baking extravaganza.

From left to right: Buried Cherry Cookies; White Chocolate/Chocolate Chip Cookies; Mapel Yule Logs; Saltine Cracker Toffee; White Chocolate/Macadamia Nut Cookies: Thumbprints; Scandanavian Almond Bars.

I have 8 containers full and while I was tearing apart the cupboards looking for my cookie cutters, I came across the cute little Santa cookie container the kids and I made way back. It's an oatmeal container covered with paper with felt hat and yarn embellies. He's really lasted through the years. The Soldier Tin is full of Bourbon Balls mellowing for a few days. Yummmy!!!!!!

Wow, you definately win the spirit award from me. I spent three hours making Norwegian rolled cookies for the kindergarten holiday party today--but ONLY because I SAID I would. I have NO baking mojo this year and probably won't make another thing. You TOTALLY Rock

Thanks Everyone!

And for those of you who are following my Gus thread, I understand there's another box of chocolates on their way and I already put the fudge in the fridge so he couldn't get it.

I can hardly wait for the festivities to start!

I was just going to ask if you'd "Gus-proofed" those delicious looking bites!

Gus's twitchy little nose has been going crazy. I've even seen it stretched up over the edge of the counter where the cookies have been cooling. It's amazing that he cannot associate overeating with being sick.

Rachelle you can always make some candy that doesn't require cooking now

I just finished making three batches of stuffed dates, simple easy and so yummy.
