Pam Cook did it last year and here is the link to her pages here at PAO. http://www.paperartistsonline.com/forum ... +christmas

I'm sure if you just google "Journal Your Christmas" a lot of examples will show up on Pinterest, etc.

Once you sign up and get access to the JYC forums, you can look back at pages that everyone posted and read all their comments. At least, I think you will have access to previous years before this year. My favorites are seeing what people in other countries do and how they celebrate.

I haven't done an album yet but did register a couple years ago. What I like is it's the kind of project you do not need to finish in one year, especially if you're delving back into older memories. I've certainly read in the JYC forum of gals who add to their album each year, whether that's adding new prompts they haven't covered before, or additional memories for prompts already documented.

I enjoyed it because there was just enough crafting involved that I was using my Christmas supplies and I was able to do a nice mixture of documenting memories as well as current activities. As a result of doing this class, I was able to find a facebook group that posts historic photos of my home town. It was wonderful to find photos from the early 60's to use. Of course we're not in any of the photos but I can still record the memories and use the photos. My parents were dirt poor and even if we had money for photos of anything but holidays and visits to grandparents, my mom is just too frugal - she never would have paid for a good camera, film, & processing. And now I've gone off on a rabbit trail again.

These posts have reminded me that I need to go check out the forums to see what Shimelle did with her 3 x 4 cards and look at some of the other journals for format ideas.

Cheryl, if you have trouble finding the link, let me know.

Pam... I like the idea of using the pocket pages.... now I need to go back to Tuesday Morning and see if the package of Christmas cutaparts is still there... perfect for those pockets but since I didn't do pocket pages, I didn't grab that one up... if it's still there, I'll get it and then that'll make my decision about doing pocket pages, too.. LOL

I think Shimelle and her family might just be getting home from vacation. It might take a bit longer than usual to get your sign in - but, haven't you already bought one of her classes? If you have, the sign in will be the same - you'll just find the class in your ...um...whatever it's called??? In other words, sign in and see if you can now open the class.

I don't know if I have or not.... I signed up for the talking class that she and Noelle Hyman did.. but that was on the Paperclipping site... I'll have to check once I'm at home... Charter is freaking out trying to do a sort of my email online... LOL

I think I might have, though.... I vaguely remember having to wait for login information... :-)

I just signed up for the 2014 class - hope I can get around to looking at it soon. Too many things to do, not enough hours in the day.

Once you get an acknowledgement that you have joined, maybe you will have access to the older ones, not sure how that works. Of course, she wouldn't have the 2015 or 2016 JYC up yet, whichever one you are signing up for... ;)
