Stampin' Up Paper Pumpkin

Post by ScrappinJen »

Yes, I know I'm a little crazy but I recently took advantage of the great sale offer and subscribed to Paper Pumpkin. And wouldn't you know it, my first kit (August 2015 Chalk It Up to Love) was full of 3D projects which I have absolutely no interest in. I haven't yet had time to develop an alternative use for those things but I did spend the day with my friend Susan making cards from the kit. I adapted them a bit to fit my style but here is the first card from my kit. Nothing to write home about but I wanted to start this thread.

Anyone else want to join in here?

And here's another one made from the July 2014 Wish Big kit my friend shared with me.

I appreciate the artistry. I wish I enjoyed making cards - they always end up being a last minute project and so I dread making them! Silly, right?

I hope you love the rest of the kits!

Cool cards!

Sounds like we need a card-making afternoon at the beach next Spring! :-)

I really don't like making cards either...but will on occasion. I usually get Mom or Jen to make my cards. At work we are REQUIRED yes, required, to send out 5 thank you cards a month to staff who have done something great. (we have to keep a log of who we sent one to and why) So, Mom makes my cards. I almost always send them to our volunteers. I won't get started on that rant...but...

Jen, those cards are great. They look pretty simple to - which is what I like.

Great cards Jen! That gold stripe is terrific. I'm sure you'll adapt the products that came in the kit. Keep your cards coming.

I had signed up for Paper Pumpkin
for a few months, but most months
were projects that I really had no
interest in doing. I held out for awhile
bt finally ended up cancelling it.

This is me too. I work on pieces much smaller, and larger with no issue, yet with cards they always seem to stress me out and I am never happy with them.

This is so interesting. I'm totally at home making cards and working with that size. But give me a canvas or any scrapbook size page and I hear crickets.

I'm in the love making cards camp too. I find it's so much easier than doing a scrap page and it gives me some instant gratification.

So true. It's wonderful to have this group. Built-in mutual admiration society.
