Christmas "Journals" 2015

Post by pamcook »

It doesn't matter if you're doing your own thing, December Daily, Journal Your Christmas, or any other - here is the place to post your creations.
Have you started preparing? Have you started shopping? Feel free to post photos of your supplies.
December 1 will be here before we know it.

I think she said she's posting the link tomorrow but here's an older link: http://www.shimelle.com/paper/848/journ ... ber-first/
Once you sign up, you have access to it every year so it should work.
If she posts a new link, I'll share it in this thread.

I just placed an order for some Christmas supplies. I bought Shimelle's 6 x 6 pad and some embellies. But I really like the Pink Fresh Studio Christmas line better so I bought their 6 x 6 pad and some diecuts. Not sure what I will do this year but I'm ready!

I may have already mentioned this but I am taking Ali Edwards December Daily class. Going to do it Pocket style with the December Monthly Moments kit from Papertrey Ink. Bought it last year and didn't use it. Big surprise.

Do you all think signing up for Shimelle's class concurrently would be overkill or just plain insane?

Honestly? I think it would make it easier for you.
Shimelle's prompts are wonderful for journaling. She does a daily project - in the past there have been tags or 3x4 cards but the focus really is on recording memories, ideas, & thoughts.
You do so well with Ali's stamp story prompts and this is very similar. With December Daily, I felt like I didn't have enough holiday events for each day to keep me interested or even to record. I know I sound like a cheerleader but I really enjoy it.

Can't wait for it to start. Since I made my journal to start in November when I actually start doing things for the holiday I have already started writing stuff down and you know I've been taking pictures of what I've been making. Photos probably won't go on until after the first of the year.

This is my big concern. We don't really "do" Christmas around here. So journaling thoughts from Christmas past might be the way I'm going. I will look into it. You know I love Shimelle.

We do very little for Christmas anymore so the year I did Journal Your Christmas, I mostly did memories of Christmases Past and the few things we still do. The best thing I did was finally go to our little town at night and take photos of all the decorations. We'd lived there about 28 years before Shimelle made me do it!

Still on the fence about JYC. Our fridge stopped cooling yesterday so I'm waiting to see how much this sets us back.

To get my mind off my rotting food, I sat last night and inserted all of my Papertrey Monthly Moments cards into pockets and pinned a few ideas for dressing them up a bit. Some cute ideas out there.

I signed up for Journal Your Chrstmas back in early October? So now I've downloaded several previous years' prompts. I might just do a big album and do this year's prompts and grab whatever else sparks a layout.
